The first live album by Banksia Trio is complete. The sound by the three elite musicians leading the Japanese jazz scene, Takashi Sugawa, Masaki Hayashi, and Shun Ishiwaka, is recorded in high quality by Studio Dede. Seven tracks are carefully selected from live recordings at Blue Note Tokyo (Track 1-3), Meguro Persimmon Hall Small Hall (Track 4), and 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa Theater 21 (Track 5-7). Centered on the pieces from the previous work "MASKS", which became a talked-about release, with new songs and cover songs also included. It includes important repertoire the trio has valued in live performances such as Masabumi Kikuchi's "Drizzling Rain", as well as member-composed pieces, and also includes the new work "Rain" by Takashi Sugawa. In addition, the lineup includes a cover performance of the masterpiece "Gui", written by the late Ryuichi Sakamoto as a theme song for a documentary film related to Okinawa, performed as an encore at the live performance at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. A must-listen album that condenses the heat of the live performances and the deepening of the trio.
