Taiyou no Koibito Agnes Lum

The idol of youth! This year marks the 50th anniversary of Agnes Lum's sensational arrival in Japan on November 12, 1976!! With her adorable smile and perfect proportions, she appeared in numerous commercials and magazine gravure features, creating an "Agnes Lum fever" across Japan. "Taiyo no Koibito Agnes Lum," the only film released at the height of her popularity, has been restored with the latest video and audio technology and is now available on DVD and Blu-ray. Her influence remains strong even today, and it is said that Lum, the heroine of one of the most popular anime titles of the 1980s, "Urusei Yatsura," and Marin-chan from the popular pachinko series "Umi Monogatari" were inspired by Agnes Lum. Music is by Masayoshi Takanaka. Takanaka is currently enjoying a major surge in popularity not only in Japan, but also overseas. This August, he gave an overwhelming performance before 12,000 people at Crystal Palace Bowl outside London. "Sweet Agnes," the theme song of this film and Takanaka's solo debut single, was dedicated to Agnes Lum. Along with other early Masayoshi Takanaka classics such as "TROPIC BIRDS" and "Oh! Tengo Suerte," Agnes' bright and healthy beauty fills the screen. Enjoy Agnes playing with the waves on the beach, driving along the Hawaiian coast with her hair blowing in the wind, relaxing by the pool, and giving an almost too-fresh interview with shy answers, all in beautiful restored footage and clear sound created with the latest technology. Comes with a booklet featuring plenty of valuable photos of Agnes. Includes a movie announcement poster. A permanent collector's edition.
