I remember when this album first came out. The Seattle sound was dominating rock music in America at the time, and bands like Def Leppard were considered outdated, even though I was still a big fan. This album, Slang, was Def Leppard's answer to the popularity of the alternative/Seattle sound that dominated rock at the time. The album was dismissed by fans at the timed unfortunately, a lot of people didn't give it a chance... man, did those people miss out on something special! Slang is one of Def Leppard's best albums. I love the musical risks they took on this one. The title track is great and both Pearl of Euphoria and Work It Out are two of my all-time favorite Def Leppard tracks. This album is fantastic and I hope more people will give it a chance now. This SHM-CD sounds stellar and I love the mini-LP packaging on this one.
