Dire Straits [SHM-CD] [Limited Release]

I decided to purchse this album after buying 10CC's "The Origional Soundtrack" from an eBay seller in SHM-CD format. I was so stunned at the extra detail and clarity and analogue sound, I wanted to see if this was repeated on Dire Straits. So I decided to buy direct from cdjapan and see for if other SHM-CD's were of a similar high standard. I wasn't disappointed. Dire Straits was super clear, with precussion especially cymbols well portrayed, and vocals and lead and bass guitar comming through with extra clarity. I have the usual CD verions of both albums to compare against the SHM-CD's The 10CC SHM-CD is surprisingly better and the Dire Straits SHM-CD better as well, but not quite as dramatic, due to the nature of the musical style. The SHM-CD format seems to not only offer a depth of clarity and detail and analogue wamth, but isn't overly expensive either and makes a great gift for birthdays and christmas and other times, to replace albums music lovers may already have. I highly recommend.

THIS IS THE 3RD TIME I BUY THIS CD AND THE FIRST TIME I BOUGHT IT THE ALBUM HAD JUST BEEN RELEASED AND IT WAS A RECORD. 2ND WAS A REMASTERED CD BUT THIS NEW SHM SERIES OF CD'S FROM CD JAPAN IS NOTHING SHORT OF A MIRACLE. I COULD NEVER REALLY HEAR JUST HOW TALENTED THIS GROUP WAS UNTIL NOW. I CAN'T BELIEVE MY EARS, THE REPRODUCTION IS SO CRYSTAL CLEAR AND LIFELIKE IT GRABS ON TO ME AND MAKES ME SMILE CAUSE OF HOW MUCH I AM HEARING. MY MONEY WAS NEVER SO WELL SPENT AND THIS TYPE OF CD IS WORTH EVERY PENNY AND THEN SOME. I SURE HOPE THEY KEEP MAKING THEM CAUSE I AM GOING TO BE ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER IF I CAN GET MY HANDS ON SOME MORE OF THEM. JUST SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!
