1999年に人間国宝に認定された長唄囃子の堅田喜三久が1973年(昭和48年)にビクターに録音した最初のソロ・アルバムが初CD化。編集なしの一発勝負で録音に挑んだ、気魄漲る邦楽囃子の世界! 収録されているのは、黒みすではなく長唄の出囃子を中心としたもの。鑑賞用としても続けて聴いて楽しめ、また鼓を勉強している人にも参考になり同時にお稽古の教材にも適した充実した内容。堅田喜三久が全体を7つの部分で構成している。全40トラック収録。LP盤のオリジナル解説(吉川英史、堅田喜三久)に加え、堅田喜三久の新原稿も掲載。当時の名手たちによる意欲と気魄、情熱が迸った名演。
