The sound quality on this shm cd blew me away! Compared to my first press on vinyl...it sounds vastly superior.

There is nothing I can say about the songs on this album we don't already know - it's a dang classic worthy of being in everyone's collection. And Mark III is a my favorite DP line-up with Coverdale, Hughs, Blackmore, Paice and Lord. Burn itself is one of the greatest rock songs ever AND the remixes on here are really interesting. A must have.

This recording has a very bad sound, too much signal level exagerate, and very big bass and higher sound distorsions, it is a big disappointing, I cannot listen this cd, it is impossible to listen it, again a human error,people which are working for this studio recording made a very bad sound, where is the quality control for the sound. I am very disappointed, for me it is 2 stars and I am very generous giving 2 stars feedback for this recording.

How many reissues of this album is hard to calculate. I must say that this is the best sounding. In detail, the "wall of sound", on which the group is constantly working. As if only yesterday they released.

great deluxe reissue from the original one done 12 years ago, great shm remastering here and an over all beautiful package for real deep purple fans.................
