amazing. such a complex album and i hear and feel like i'm in the studio. i have most of the mqa's and i feel this is the best. this is a reference disc. use it to show off. phil

There's very little low end on this CD. Too much treble. Unlike the original "Close To The Edge" album, there's some added stuff dumped in the middle (between side 1 and side 2), which breaks up the continuity of the album. Wouldn't buy it again. I'd rather wait, and hope someone releases a properly balanced version on an SACD of the original recording (without the extras). It may sound fine on regular box speakers, but I have good electrostatic speakers, which unfortunately detail every imperfection in recordings.

I listened to this edition many times. The decoder in my OPPO UDP 205 shows sigificant improvements MQA is capable of.You hear details you never heared before, but it's not hard sounding, the background is really black, single instruments are clear without hiss. This edition creates the hope for more YES-gems in this quality: the combination of MQA-CD and UHQCD. I dream of Tales from Topographic Oceans, Relayer, Going for The One....

Despite the abundance of remastered of Yes over the past 20 years, this publication carries, I am absolutely sure, the best sound of this album I have ever heard. A strange fallout from the overall design style of this series. If you don’t really care about mini vinyl, the imitation of all the liners and other undoubtedly important things, buy this particular edition. Very highly recommend!
