I originally had this album on LP way back in the 1970's(?) It is basically David Bowie's backing band. The LP had a bad "warp" as I recall, but I still was able to play it. This album influenced my life's musical awakening and just "blew my mind". I never cared much for the Bowie gay "Hunky Dory Spaceman" stuff. However, it was the piano runs that stood out. I suggest anyone go listen to the keyboard segments of David Bowies works. His name is "Mike Garson". On this particular "Spiders from Mars" solo album it is distinct, brilliant, more enlightening than anything Bowie actually did at this time. My admiration and musical appreciation is for this guy.
