The Unity Sessions

[Machine Translation] The Pat Metheny Unity Group, an outgrowth of the Grammy-winning Pat Metheny Unity Band, toured North America and Europe in 2014, and performed in Japan in October 2014 at the Sumida Triphony, Osaka Sankei Hall Breeze, and other venues. The performance, which received great acclaim, has been reproduced in the form of a studio live performance in New York. The songs are selected from "Unity Band" and "KIN ( - )," and are designed to make the audience feel as if they were watching a concert in their own home. In particular, the performances and camera angles in each solo scene are so realistic that you can't help but be drawn in. The differences between Pat's acoustic, electric, and synth guitar playing, Chris Potter's truly realistic blowing, Antonio Sanchez's versatile drumming, and many others are worth seeing. The mastering was done by Ted Jensen, and the sound quality is one of the highlights. The final track is a medley of Pat's acoustic guitar solos. The members are Pat Metheny (g), Chris Potter (sax), Antonio Sanchez (ds), Ben Williams (b), and Giulio Calmassi (p, instruments).
