Godzilla Resurgence (Shin Godzilla) Special Edition [3Blu-ray]Sci-Fi Live ActionNooooo. No subtitles.Really, really want this movie, but no English subs means no point in buying. I guess I will have to wait for an inferior US release.

Departures (Okuribito)Japanese MovieA film that is good for the soulIt was enlightening seeing how Japanese people of a small town honor and grieve the dead. What I found beautiful was the humbling effects of death on the people, and the honor that can be found in the work of occupations that people would normally not think to take on.

Itazura na Kiss 2 - Love in Tokyo (English Subtitles) Director's Cut Edition Blu-ray Box 1Japanese TV SeriesA funny and touching love storySo glad I splashed out and bought the whole set of Itazura na Kiss Season 2 Blue Ray discs ( Box 1 and 2) , which included all the Directors' cuts ( extra 10-15 minutes per episode)! Re watching the extended episodes again is like rediscovering new perspectives on this wonderfully-told love story. For me, Miki Honoka is THE definitive Kotoko Aihara...

MelodyMoviePretty good for MELODY on Blu Ray.When I saw this movie was going to be given a Blu Ray release, I was excited if not surprised. Just as it was in South America, particularly Argentina, MELODY (a.k.a S.W.A.L.K) has had a large cult following since the mid 70's and has seen several releases in the last few decades. I have owned just about every edition of this film, from VHS to Laser Disc to DVD and now Blu Ray. It was not until a few years ago that the original Widescreen edition was made available, which was already a huge jump from the early editions. However, quality of the film has always been up to Japanese standards, meaning, pretty great. I had no doubt this Blu Ray edition would look and sound good and I was not disappointed. Thankfully, Japan and the USA both share the same region and NTSC system, so I jumped to pre-order it and got it today, the release date. The Video quality is rather good, with some good sharpness overall and, at times, spectacular. There are, however, some instances where the picture is not as sharp, but it is generally OK. There is some dirt that seems to have surprisingly made it's way into the transfer during one scene and it shows up a couple of times, but when it is gone, that is it. The colors are true to the original and still retains that early 1970's feel of a misty, gray London. The sound is Dolby 2.0 and nothing to write home about. It is mostly clear except for being a bit muffled every so often, making some of the dialogue somewhat difficult to understand, particularly Ornshaw's heavy cockney. Still, I was generally pleased. The extras are not many, just the Japanese trailer. That is OK as most of us fans should be happy that this got a Blu Ray release to really care about any extras. I doubt this Blu Ray will ever get a US release, so getting this Blu Ray directly from Japan (I got it from CDJapan) is your best bet. The price is a bit steep, though it won't break the bank. If you are a fan of this film, even remotely, GET THIS. Japan has a tendency of releasing stuff in limited numbers and when stuff is gone, it is gone, so I would not hesitate.

Toshokan Senso (Library Wars) Standard EditionJapanese MovieAmazing!Doesn't contain English Subtitles, but if you've read the manga or the light novels or seen the anime, you can easily understand what the gist is about. The movie focuses a lot more on the action and character development, and even if you loved the manga, you won't be disappointed. The romance is subtle but grows and the two leads respect each other. If you want to see a movie with one of the BEST action scenes this year, check this out. I hope we get this released in the US one day, but until then, please check this out. I can guarantee you'll want to learn more about this series.

"Unmei no Hito (TV Drama)" Original SoundtrackJapanese TV SeriesMasterpiece !Greatest drama soundtrack ever ! I was actually a great fan of that wonderful drama and, when I watched it, I was amazed by its music. Now that I listened the CD, I'm even more amazed (if it's possible). The soundtrack is really beautiful, really rythmic sometimes (you can feel the emotions of the characters just by listening), sometimes it's really sad, almost heartbreaking, especially when you remember the tragical story. Just too bad there were no picture in the Cd, to remind you the drama. It would have been great.

Doushitemo FuretakunaiJapanese Movie*v*I am a little bias about this film because I love Yoneda Kou-sensei to the core. They made it pretty similar to the manga so I enjoyed it. However, some parts, they should have changed because not all events in the manga looks good when acted out. Also, they left out some parts from the manga that, I thought, would have been better if it was left in. In addition to that, the filming wasn't good as it could be and same goes for the acting... It's still good compared to many other BL films I've watched so if you enjoy the manga, this will be a good experience to have... xD

Bokura ga Ita (We Were There) (First Part) Standard EditionJapanese MovieGreat Movie-Good Service NeoWingJust finished watching this live action movie and it follows the original novel well with some parrts mashed in together as you can't fit everything into a 2 hr. movie but they did a really-really good. If you haven't read the original novel you might get lost in some places but nothing to worry about really. Do be aware though that this doesn't come with EN subtitles so a good knowledge of the language is a must. With my old account I actually bought a few items from here before and I must say NeoWing's service is top notch, it hasn't changed at all through the years. I do wish that they would increse the size of their search bar though. ^^

Assault Girls (English Audio) Special Collector's EditionJapanese Movie"Mostly" English AudioThis is a very good movie, although short. The special features are really nice, including both original short films. I would give the set five stars; but the "English Audio" stated in the details isn't entirely accurate. Most of the film is in English; but somewhat garbled by the masks the characters wear at times. During a key conversation in the movie, however, the characters switch to Japanese and there are no English subtitles. The included storyboard booklet does include English translations of most of the dialogue for the scene; but it isn't convenient to follow along in the book on your first viewing.

Making of Ougon wo Daite Tobe (Fly With The Gold)Japanese Movie (Making)Something worth waiting to watch!I can't wait for the dvd to come out! I bought the making before watching the movie, but I can tell that the casts are great actors though the making & the teaser. Even the shooting was kind of intense, so looking forward to watch the complete movie.
