Description

Rina Ikoma, who was active as a central presence in Nogizaka46's first generation and, after graduating in 2018, has been engaged in a wide range of work as an actor. This year, in August 2026, she marks the 15th anniversary of her entertainment career. At this milestone, as an actress and as one woman, the release of her first photo book in fully ten years has been decided! The setting chosen for the photo book is Amami Oshima. It is an island loved by many people as a sacred place full of beautiful nature and mystical energy. The shoot was realized at the request of Ikoma, who had visited before and was drawn in by the island's charm. In charge of the photography was Yuki Aoyama, teaming up with her for the first time since her first photo book. The photo book's publisher is the editorial department of the magazine "Up to Boy," in which she appeared many times during her time in Nogizaka46. Truly, "a photo book of Rina Ikoma, by Rina Ikoma's fans, for Rina Ikoma's fans" has been completed. Over the three-day shoot, we captured many photos, from ones that make you feel "Ikoma-chan really is Ikoma-chan" to ones that strongly carry the meaning of a challenge for her. Also, for this publication, Ikoma herself took up the pen and wrote, as an essay, how she feels now that she has reached the 15th anniversary of her entertainment career. We would be glad if you could touch the present Rina Ikoma through the photos and through the writing. [Rina Ikoma's comment] Fifteen years since my debut, huh. Has it really been that long. I figured my face had probably grown up too, but it does not give that different an impression (laughs). Still, the atmosphere that envelops me had become something new again. Please pick up and see the present me that Mr. Aoyama captured. "Rurikakesu," which is the title of the photo book, is an endemic bird species that lives only on Amami Oshima and its surrounding remote islands. I made it a title that crosses this endemic species with Rina Ikoma, a single human being of whom there is only one.
