Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway "The Sorcery of Nymph Circe" [English Subtitles]

"MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM HATHAWAY The Sorcery of Nymph Circe," which opened in theaters nationwide on January 30, 2026, became a major hit, generating 2.5 billion yen at the box office and attracting 1.48 million moviegoers, and is now coming to Blu-ray!

Yoshiyuki Tomino's 1989 novel "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway" is a continuation of the Universal Century storyline directly connected to the film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," which depicts the final battle between Amuro and Char. Once considered impossible to adapt for the screen, "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway" has been brought to life as a trilogy of animated films. Shukou Murase, who worked on character design for "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing" and served as animation director for "Mobile Suit Gundam F91," directs the film. Yasuyuki Muto of "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" handles the screenplay, bringing this new theatrical Gundam production to life on a grand scale with high-quality animation.

Set in U.C.0105, 12 years after Char's Rebellion, the story follows MAFTY, a resistance movement opposing the oppressive Earth Federation government through the assassination of cabinet ministers. Its leader is Hathaway Noa, son of Bright Noa, who fought alongside Amuro Ray during the One Year War.

Gigi Andalucia, a girl who displays mysterious powers, reminds Hathaway of a past trauma. Although unsettled by her words, he continues preparing MAFTY's planned attack on the Adelaide Conference. Meanwhile, Federation Forces officer Kenneth Sleg prepares a support operation for the conference and a plan to eliminate MAFTY. During these preparations, Handley Yoxon of the Criminal Police Organization approaches Kenneth with a secret proposal. As Hathaway and Kenneth pursue their respective objectives, Gigi travels to Hong Kong to fulfill her own role.
