Lizard SHM-CD Legacy Collection 1980 [SHM-CD]King CrimsonHighly recommendCrimson's most baroque and complex jazz-rock effort receives a massive audiophile upgrade. The mastering masterfully separates the chaotic polyphony of woodwinds, jagged keyboard motifs, and Jon Anderson’s guest vocals on “Prince Rupert Awakes.” It completely untangles the historically dense and challenging mix.

Islands SHM-CD Legacy Collection 1980 [SHM-CD]King CrimsonThis CRIMSON album is very good!!This CD emphasizes the melancholic, chamber-like, and pastoral beauty of “Islands”. The sonic transparency is staggering, holding focus from the quiet double-bass intro on “Formentera Lady” to the weeping strings of the title cut. Exceptional channel separation highlights every subtle oboe and percussion nuance, shaping a deeply meditative listening experience.

Earthbound SHM-CD Legacy Collection 1980 [SHM-CD]King CrimsonThe performance is greatDocumenting the American tour of the short-lived Boz Burrell, Mel Collins, and Ian Wallace lineup, this release was historically notorious for its lo-fi, "garage-band" sound quality. However, the Japanese mastering works wonders here, shaping that raw, distorted cassette source into a cohesive, ferocious wall of sound. The dirty, blues-rock engine of “21st Century Schizoid Man” and the manic funk jamming on “Groon” sound incredibly visceral on this disc, perfectly capturing the primal chaos of a band breaking apart at the seams.

GUSTAV MAHLER: 'THE SYMPHONIES' [Limited Edition]Andris Nelsons (conductor)NOT A GOOD MAHLER CYCLEWHAT MAKES EVERY NONDISCRIPT CONDUCTORs THINK THEY CAN CONDUCT MAHLER ? I HAVE EVERY GOOD MAHLER RECORDING THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM Andris Nelson did a Shostakovitch cycle on DG and I was silly enough loving Shostakovich to buy it. I listened and was slightly disappointed.............then I heard Kodrashin's complete cycle and suddenly discover just how Shostakovitch should sound.............so I gave away Mr Nelsons's cycle away to a friend as it simply irritated me to hear it after I discovered how Shostakovitch should be played I took only minutes upon hearing Mr Nelsons underwhelming attempt at Maher to realise that this is as great a failure as his Shostakovitch cycle. Save you money and listen to Solti Bernstein or Giellin cycles and be rewarded !

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin 5 Clash at Loum (English, French & more languages for Subtitles available / English Audio Available)AnimationIntense and DramaticGundam: The Origin V is one of the most intense and dramatic parts of the series. The story continues to delve deeper into the characters and, especially, into Char’s transformation into the character we all know. The animation is spectacular, the battles have real weight, and the atmosphere perfectly captures the darker and more political side of the Gundam universe. The pacing may feel a little slow at times, but the character development and the growing tension make it completely worthwhile. An essential entry for Gundam fans and an excellent setup for what is yet to come.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin 4 (English, French & more languages for Subtitles available / English Audio Available)AnimationGreat & Recommended AnimeGundam: The Origin IV continues to raise the bar for the series with an increasingly intense and dramatic story. This installment stands out especially for Char’s development and for the way it connects the events that will eventually lead to the beginning of the One Year War. The animation is once again spectacular, with beautifully crafted battles and great attention to detail and atmosphere. The best thing about this movie is its balance between action, politics, and character development. Some moments may require a little patience, but the tension gradually builds until it reaches a truly exciting final act. An excellent installment that continues to show why The Origin is one of the best ways to experience the Gundam universe.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash Mechanic & World (Futabasha MOOK)FutabashaFantastic companion bookMobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash Mechanic & World is a fantastic companion book for anyone who enjoyed the movie and wants to take a closer look at its incredible world and mechanical designs. The book is packed with beautiful artwork, detailed information about the Mobile Suits, characters, and setting, making it a very enjoyable read for any Gundam fan. One of the highlights is the amount of production material included. Seeing the mechanical designs and artwork in much greater detail really helps you appreciate the incredible work that went into the film. The interviews with the creators, including director Shukou Murase, are also a great addition and provide some interesting insight into the production and vision behind the movie. I especially enjoyed being able to examine details that can be difficult to appreciate during the film itself, particularly in some of the darker action sequences. The book gives you the opportunity to stop, look closely, and discover details you may have missed. It may not be an essential purchase for casual viewers, but for Gundam fans and collectors, this is a beautiful and worthwhile addition to the collection. A very well-presented book that makes me appreciate Hathaway’s Flash even more.

Ghost in the Shell Anime Zenshi Pia (Ghost in the Shell: All Anime Archive 1995-2026) (Pia MOOK)PiaFantastic CelebrationGhost in the Shell Anime All History Pia is a fantastic celebration of one of the most influential anime franchises ever created. Covering the history of the anime from Mamoru Oshii’s legendary 1995 film all the way to the new 2026 TV series, this book offers a great opportunity to look back at how the franchise has evolved over more than three decades. One of the things I enjoyed most is the way the book brings together the different eras and productions of Ghost in the Shell. From Ghost in the Shell and Innocence to Stand Alone Complex, ARISE, SAC_2045, and the new series, it is fascinating to see how the characters, designs, themes, and visual style have changed over the years. The production material and interviews are another highlight. They offer some interesting insight into the people behind the franchise and the ideas that continue to shape its world. The sections dedicated to the new 2026 series are particularly interesting, especially for fans who want to learn more about its creators and their relationship with the original manga and previous adaptations. The book is beautifully presented and works equally well as a historical overview, a reference guide, and a collector’s item. After so many years, Ghost in the Shell remains a fascinating and constantly evolving universe, and this publication does an excellent job of showing just how far it has come. A highly recommended book for both longtime fans and newcomers. If you love Ghost in the Shell, this is a wonderful addition to the collection.
