TEUTONIC TITANS 1976-2026 [SHM-CD] [Limited Edition] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]AcceptGood Snniversary EditionTeutonic Titans 1976–2026" by Accept celebrates 50 years of the band with 19 re-recorded classics and 50+ guest stars [Napalm Records]. • Sound: A very modern, heavy production by Chris "Zeus" Harris. • Highlights: Even for non-fans, tracks like the hidden gem "Wrong Is Right" or the unique cover of "Love Child" by Billy Corgan sound fantastic. Bobby Blitz sounds amazingly close to Udo Dirkschneider, Chuck Billy delivers great classic metal vocals, and Chris Jericho rounds out the star guest list. • Verdict: The perfect, highly diverse entry point for newcomers and a great tribute to the band's golden 1980–1989

Larks' Tongues in Aspic 50 50th Anniversary [2 SHM-CD + 2 Blu-ray Audio] [Limited Edition] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]King CrimsonCheck this album out! This 50th Anniversary super-box set offers the ultimate deep dive into the 1973 masterpiece. The crown jewel here is Steven Wilson’s breathtaking 2023 mixes. Across the CDs and Blu-ray, the music gains incredible spatial separation: Jamie Muir's eccentric percussion envelops the room, while Bill Bruford's drumming and John Wetton's driving bass form an impenetrable wall of sound. The resolution of raw studio session takes is startlingly realistic, placing you right inside Command Studios.

Reload (Remaster Deluxe) [SHM-CD]MetallicaGreat Reload Japan AlbumThe remaster of Metallica – ReLoad offers significant sonic improvements compared to the 1997 original, featuring a punchier and clearer sound. While standout tracks like Fuel and The Memory Remains benefit greatly from the overhaul, the album still suffers from its well-known filler material in the second half. For collectors and audiophiles, the upgrade is well worth it due to the enhanced audio quality, though it won't change the minds of those who were already skeptical of the songwriting

Live In Vienna 2016 + Live In Japan 2015 SHM-CD Edition [SHM-CD] [Limited Release] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]King CrimsonIt's another excellent live setThis massive three-disc set under compiles pristine 2016 European captures along with exclusive 2015 Tokyo tracks. The Japanese SHM-CD manufacturing brings out incredible macro-dynamics—expertly balancing Tony Levin’s growling low-end, Mel Collins' expressive woodwinds, and Fripp's razor-sharp guitar textures. The live rendition of “Fracture” is a jaw-dropping standout on this release. It perfectly translates the natural ambiance of the concert halls, delivering an immersive live experience.

Live In Chicago 2017 SHM-CD Edition [SHM-CD] [Limited Release] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]King CrimsonThis is a great albumThis double CD captures the colossal eight-piece lineup during their iconic night at the Chicago Theatre, marking the return of Bill Rieflin. The crown jewel here is the inclusion of the “Lizard” suite excerpts (“Dawn Song”, “The Last Battle”, “Prince Rupert's Lament”). This Japanese press fixes original mixing limitations, pushing Fripp’s emotional guitar solo on “Lizard” right to the front with breathtaking clarity. Aggressive, heavy, and meticulously balanced, it stands as a mandatory masterpiece for audiophiles.

[Collector's Edition] The Condensed 21st Century Guide to King Crimson in SHM-CD Encore Press Plus [SHM-CD] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]King CrimsonIt is an outstanding releaseThis Japanese reissue serves as a masterfully curated gateway into the band's shape-shifting eras. The SHM-CD formulation works wonders for a compilation, bridging the sonic gaps between 1969 psychedelic roots and 2000s industrial metal with seamless dynamic balancing. Con Amore [UHQCD] [Limited Release]Kyung Wha Chung (violin)Good!Kyung Wha Chung’s Con Amore is an album I love so much that I already own the original CD release, an MQA CD, and three different vinyl editions. I bought this green-coated CD because I wanted to hear this edition, and I’m very pleased with it overall. Her playing is superb, and the sound is beautiful, making this beloved album a pleasure to revisit.

J.S.Bach: Unaccompanied Cello Suite, et al. [UHQCD]Janos Starker (cello)Good!!Starker’s recording of Bach’s Solo Cello Suites is a celebrated classic and, in my opinion, a must-have for any collection. The performances are outstanding, and the sound quality is good overall. I only wish the cello sounded a little more vivid and lifelike. Even so, this is a wonderful album that I’m very glad to own.
-
J.S.Bach: Goldberg Variations [SHM-CD]Andras Schiff (piano)Excellent sound qualityExcellent sound quality and a wonderful performance by Schiff. The piano sounds clear and natural, with each keystroke beautifully captured. I’m not sure whether the CD’s green coating makes a difference, but the sound feels especially vivid to me. Schiff’s playing is expressive and refined, making Bach’s Goldberg Variations a pleasure to listen to.

Maria Joao Pires Best Of Best [UHQCD] [Limited Release]Maria Joao PiresGood! This two-CD collection brings together a well-chosen selection of Pires’s signature pieces and movements. Perhaps because of the green coating, the piano sounds especially clear and luminous to my ears. Her performances are, of course, outstanding. My only reservation is that the excerpts sometimes interrupt the emotional flow, making me wish I could hear the complete works. Still, I’m grateful to have so many highlights of her repertoire in one album.
