Syncopations is a unique gathering of well vetted musicians who, besides of playing with real mastery, seem to be listening to each other carefully and respectfully. It is a sort of aural democracy: everybody has the chance to say it all and, at the same time, everyone lets the other have his share.

I'm thrilled I got my hands on a copy of this gorgeous album, which isn't as readily available as other releases in Coltrane's discography. The high quality sound image and wide dynamic range (the drums!) make this a real treat for the ear. Tones are warm, drums are unreal, and the tunes are alluring and absorbing; the progression of the album from track to track comprises a satisfying, coherent whole. It's been in heavy rotation since it arrived and will be for the foreseeable future. The Coltrane 100 sticker is a neat collectible.

Here's another cornerstone in my classical listening archive. Herbert Von Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker lift Beethoven's lovely and timeless music to the audio heights it deserves.

The Water Is Wide finds Lloyd applying his low-key tenor and lovely unassuming tonality to serene melody making for the most part. The warmth that permeates this disc is palpable and real.

this is my first genuine introduction to "City Pop" which is more of a blend of Japanese music with Western Pop music of the time. the influence is obvious and well done. i would like to go deeper into the genre because of this album. i was listening to this in the shower and my dad thought it sounded like Liza Minnelli lol

Konitz, Mehldau, Haden and Motian may have done absolutely nothing to prepare for this specific gig at the legendary New York venue near the end of 2009, but they've been preparing for moments like these their entire lives.

An essential album for lovers of the genre but also for anyone wanting to start experiencing some well-done 'jasi' without exaggerations like in the Bop style. One of the best albums I've heard, one of the most emotionally charged albums I've ever listened to.

I can't remember if the packaging was reinforced, but the overall packaging was very good—there was no damage at all. I received it about 10 days ago, and it was great. This is the most perfect packaging I've ever received for an overseas purchase!

This box set is an absolute treasure for any Ghibli fan. The HQCD (High Quality CD) format offers a noticeable step up in clarity and dynamic range for Joe Hisaishi's legendary scores. The packaging is elegant and substantial, housing decades of cinematic magic in one beautiful collection. It’s a significant investment, but the superior sound and comprehensive nature of this set make it the crown jewel of any soundtrack library.

It’s an album that can be returned to again and again, either as engaging background music or absorbing foreground music. In short, this is one of those rare albums it is impossible to dislike.

The 11 tracks are flawlessly executed — practically airbrushed — and as mainstream as can be, but darned if they don't raise a few goosebumps.

Bayou Country is a record that saw CCR cutting their teeth; falling head-first into the sound that came to define them.

Varied, spontaneous and lyrical, 'Willy And The Poor Boys' remains to this day one of the best productions of Creedence Clearwater Revival, a unique band in rock history.

Pendulum is the final album recorded by the original line-up, and, as such, is often considered to be the last 'genuine' Creedence album. On Pendulum, the group made far greater use of both keyboards and saxophone, bathing the songs in warmer, more soulful textures than before. It's a marvellous final gem concocted by a band winding down from an unprecedentedly fertile period of creativity.

The album is very well recorded, with sensational sound quality. I haven't had the opportunity to compare it with a regular CD, but Japanese recordings always provide greater sound depth.

Great to have this box of complete recordings in high quality CD's. Great sound quality and great music overall. Highly recommended.
